Sneak attack!

GAH sorry for all the kerfuffle this week with the comic - apparently the landscapers at my apartment complex took out the internet line while I was off gallivanting at ECCC, and it only just got fixed yesterday. When in doubt, you can always follow my Insta's and Twitter's and FB's and if something like that happens again, I'll always post there in lieu! 

I'm still recovering from said ECCC but it was a TOTAL BLAST ahhhh I had so much fun! Met so many new people, caught up with old favorites, and managed to stay awake for each day of the con AND post-con parties after. Now I'm back and emerged in my first week of full-time freelance work! I'm already scheming to see what more I can do for you guys (more Bonnie's each week?? Resurrect some color strips?) It's terrifying and a new adventure and I'm super thrilled. I'll be sharing more with you guys here and on my Patreon about it, and as always feel free to share your thoughts with me here or there!

Fran vs. Slam on gender ease-a-date-ability!

Well IT'S TIME, Emerald City Comic Con is THIS Thursday through Sunday! I am still taking commission requests beforehand, though I won't be working on them till the show. So if you'd like one, send me an email (lipstickisspress@gmail.com) and let me know what you want, pencil or ink, and it'll be at the top of my pile while I'm at the show! (You can find commission prices/examples here!) OR you can let me know at the show and I'll let you know my availability! This year I'm a Guest (wee!) sitting alongside an all-star line-up in Artist Alley at Table I-1. 

Here are some of the new things I'll have with me - a brand new romance mini-comic called Martial Outlet (available only as a PDF at the moment, but will be in print and on Comixology soon!) and Stucky and Buffy prints.

SO GUYS I binge-drew a bunch of Bonnie's on this crazy spontaneous blizzard day, so there will be THREE new Bonnie's next week, thanks to my super lovely Patreon supporters! They got me to my $50 milestone, which meant one new comic a month (it says an autobio comic, but I wanted to do an extra Bonnie!). So keep a lookout for them this week on Monday/Wednesday/Friday, instead of the usual Tuesday/Thursday. Want 3 Bonnie's a week more often?

Bmore Into Comics is having an art show with a buncha our pieces up for your viewing (and hopefully not springing off the wall and hitting patrons on the head) pleasure. AND our Closing Reception on the 24th is only a week away!

I feel like going out on Valentine's Day is a SUPER stressful event where AT ANY MOMENT proposals are about to go off. TERRIFYING.

For those who don't know what survey I'm talking about - I filmed a video for my Patreon page this weekend, and I was taking a poll to see what people wanted to see. LUCKILY (I love you guys) they did not vote for "Monica without lipstick". Dodged that bullet.

If you're unfamiliar with Patreon, it's basically a super cool way to directly support an artist whose stuff you dig (here's the page with all the info!). You can contribute monthly amounts that help me keep this comic party going, as well as gives you guys a peek into my process, videos, the latest prints and books I've got, original art - all sorts of fun stuff!

I've actually been meaning to do this for a while, but kept holding off on the video part. I've got it storyboarded and ready to go, but I thought it might be fun to get a little community involvement from you guys from the get-go - because that's the main reason I wanted to do Patreon. To create more interaction betwixt you and me! (and, of course, MORE COMICS)

SOOOO if you guys have noticed, I recently switched my home page to show the latest Bonnie - it's the latest in my effort to make things super easy for peeps to read and enjoy and navigate through my site. It won't let you leave a comment on the home page, but you can click a nifty "leave a comment" button to direct you to the latest strip. Lemme know if this is better/worse for all you readers out there!
