SPECIAL EARLY BONNIE UP, YAAAAAAY.

I just posted this today because somehow I got it done early, and I can never wait to show comics. Never!

------------------

Patreon progress update! The video is all cut together! It is now in the sound stage (you'll find out what that means soon enough!) Maybe it'll be done and up by the end of this week? Maybe I'll be able to show you guys a SNEAK PEEK CLIP before then??

In the meantime, I post some progress sketches and things during the week for Patrons and non-Patrons alike in my activity feed here - check 'em out to see under the hood! Or how the magic happens?

(Spoiler: the magic happens by me drawing lots of circles and then erasing a whole ton)

Cheryl's reaction could also be like one of my favorite lines from Buffy the movie: "Is somebody kidding?"

Patreon progress update! We filmed a lot of super embarrassing stuff this weekend, and are currently editing things together. Skates! Cats! Drawing tables! Can't wait to show you guys!

Bonnie text-speak is only half in words, half highly appropriate emoticons. Oh my god, people don't say "emoticons" anymore, right?

The Patreon video survey EEZ CLOSED! Here are the results:

#1 - Me on skates #2 - My cat Ginger Monster #3 - Fill-in suggestions: Me on skates WITH Ginger Monster, my workspace!

For those who don't know what survey I'm talking about - I filmed a video for my Patreon page this weekend, and I was taking a poll to see what people wanted to see. LUCKILY (I love you guys) they did not vote for "Monica without lipstick". Dodged that bullet.

If you're unfamiliar with Patreon, it's basically a super cool way to directly support an artist whose stuff you dig (here's the page with all the info!). You can contribute monthly amounts that help me keep this comic party going, as well as gives you guys a peek into my process, videos, the latest prints and books I've got, original art - all sorts of fun stuff!

I've actually been meaning to do this for a while, but kept holding off on the video part. I've got it storyboarded and ready to go, but I thought it might be fun to get a little community involvement from you guys from the get-go - because that's the main reason I wanted to do Patreon. To create more interaction betwixt you and me! (and, of course, MORE COMICS)

Click here to check out my Patreon Activity Feed, which I started filling up this week with goodies for patron and non-patrons to see! Thanks everyone! STAY TUNED, this is gonna be awesome!

Bonnie's got all the powers of INSTANT SMIT. You can't meet her and not be smitten.

Apparently there's a roving pack of STRAIGHT GIRLS on Bonnie's league who can destroy a man with the blink of an eye.

SOOOO if you guys have noticed, I recently switched my home page to show the latest Bonnie - it's the latest in my effort to make things super easy for peeps to read and enjoy and navigate through my site. It won't let you leave a comment on the home page, but you can click a nifty "leave a comment" button to direct you to the latest strip. Lemme know if this is better/worse for all you readers out there!

Timebomb of Fun! This is what I christen anything that has the inevitable potential of being really terrible. It started when my fiancee stuck a suction GPS stand to my car for a road trip that then baked in the sun and fell off, scaring us half to death. I just used it the other day to remark on the structural instability of our parking garage at work. Timebombs of Fun EVERYWHERE!

And just a reminder - THIS WEEKEND I'll be at Baltimore Comic-Con! And it's a three-day show, so if you want commissions I will have time to do them! Either email me beforehand or come by my table at A-234 to get one! (click the map to enlarge)

Friendship Group Dynamics are VERY important.

For those of you who also read my comic Gods & Undergrads, I wrote a sad little blog post about it yesterday - I've basically decided to end it prematurely (for the time being). There will still be a couple more updates kind of tying up loose ends, but ... yeah. I'm pretty bummed about the whole thing, but I think it will be for the best. And I SO appreciate all of you who've read/tried to read it over the years!

. . . And we're back! HI all my buddies! (yes that's a quote from Thrilling Adventure Hour's Jib Janeen, who I'm obsessed with)

I'll be staying local for the next few months, which will be a good thing for Bonnie updates. If you want to read a wee bit (and see pretty car pictures) of what I was up to the last couple weekends, click here to visit ZE BLOG!

The updates are a little staggered this week as a result of ALL THE TRAVELING (Monday I was in Boston, tomorrow I'll be in California!) but rest assured there will be TWO! One may appear on Friday . . . or tomorrow . . . if there's one thing I like, it's keeping my loyal readership on their toes. :)

Thanks to everyone who came out to Boston Comic Con this weekend! It was way too fast and furious a trip - I need to spend more time actually exploring the city, but since my route home was a lot less punishing than my ride up had been, you can bet I'll be back!

And we're back! . . . With kind of a tense moment, sorry guys!

Click here to go back to the last "in continuity" strip to catch up on the last thing that happened before our fab guest strips landed. Just one update this week, for I will BE AT BOSTON COMIC CON THIS WEEKEND, hoorah! I've never been to Boston before, so I'm really excited to see the sights and hang out where my grandmother was born and raised. McArthur Pride! Also, I'll be tabling/staying out with my favorite cohort TIM FISH, so please do come visit us at D-323 and 324 on Saturday n' Sunday! (the con is Friday too, but for me that's a driving day)

GUEST STRIPS WEEK THREE!

This one is pretty amazing - the story of how Herb & Harold met! I love how debonair Herb was, even in 1990. He really escapes all the typical bad werewolf fashion traps.

Strip courtesy of Danyell Thillet, of the comic Sorry, I Was Just Talking to Myself! Be sure to check out Danyell's webcomic and say hello in the comments below! :D

This is the last of the epic guest strip one (unless I get a submission in the next couple of days - which I'm not opposed to!). This has been SO much fun for me to see the characters through other people's eyes. Plus it lets me know how clever *gulp* all my readers are! No pressure for me …. :D
